Certilman, Soloway and Adler Honored at NCBA Gala Dinner

May 24, East Meadow, NY – East Meadow, May 24, 2016 – Morton Certilman, Louis Soloway and Ira Adler were among the honorees at the Nassau County Bar Association’s 117th Annual Dinner Dance at the Marriott Hotel in Uniondale on Saturday, May 14th. Morton Certilman and Louis Soloway have been admitted to the Bar for 60 years; Ira Adler, for 50.

Morton L. Certilman (Hewlett Bay Park) is Senior Counsel to the firm, and his career has combined exceptional professional achievement with extraordinary commitment to the Long Island region. Creator of the first low-rise condominium on Long Island, Mr. Certilman has been responsible for over 1,500 cooperative, condominium and homeowner association developments in the United States and abroad. He is the former chairman of the New York State Bar Association’s committee on condominiums and cooperatives and of the subcommittee to revise the condominium act, and he has served as national trustee of the Community Associations Institute.

Senior Partner Ira J. Adler (Jericho) is the co-chair of the Condominium and Cooperative Law Departments. Mr. Adler enjoys a distinguished reputation for his work in community association law and has represented builders, developers and converters of condominium, cooperative and homeowner association developments throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Mr. Adler earned his Bachelor of Arts from New York University and his Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law. In addition, he has achieved the highest professional rating by Martindale Hubbell, and is admitted to practice in the state of New York.

Louis Soloway (Manhattan), Partner in the Real Estate Group, has built a distinguished reputation for legal counseling in matters surrounding land use and commercial real estate transactions. Concentrating his practice on Long Island and in the New York metropolitan region, he has also handled transactions across the country. He earned degrees from Columbia College and Columbia University School of Law. Mr. Soloway is admitted to practice in the state of New York; U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York; and the Supreme Court of the United States. He has maintained an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell for over 55 years.
