Rebecca L. Brodsky is an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP. She represents clients in both commercial and residential transactions and has experience with the closings of single family homes, cooperative apartments and condominiums, along with commercial property and construction loans.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Brodsky was an associate at another law firm where she represented clients in real estate, lending, and trusts and estates matters. She also served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Leonard B. Austin, Nassau County Supreme Court. During law school, she held a summer internship for a real estate developer in New York and interned at two Miami-based firms.
Ms. Brodsky received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was honored with a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She served as Treasurer of the Society of Bar and Gavel; Historian of the Student Bar Association; and President of the Tax Law Society. In addition she was Co-Founder of Lawful Productions charity organization, a member of the Cardozo Jewish Legal Society and was a Project Leader and volunteer for the HOPE Public Interest Resource Center. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Emory University, where she served as Public Relations Chair of Emory Undergraduate Students Interested in Public Health (E.U.S.I.G.H.).
Admitted to practice in the states of New York and Florida, Ms. Brodsky is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers Association, and the Florida Bar.
In 2018, she was named to the New York Metro Rising Stars List.
Ms. Brodsky remains active in her community, serving on the Executive Committee of Sunrise in the City, which benefits Sunrise Day Camp on Long Island, the only summer day camp in the nation for children with cancer and their siblings. She is an avid swimmer and an active member of the UJA Federation, having completed missions to both Cuba and Argentina.
