Mark R. Damiano II is an Associate in the Corporate/Securities Practice Group at Certilman Balin.

Prior to joining Certilman Balin, Mr. Damiano practiced as an Associate in the Construction Practice Group at a full-service Long Island law firm where he counseled clients on an array of matters including complex commercial agreements and commercial litigation.

For a national appellate law firm on Long Island, Mr. Damiano worked as an Associate, reviewing and drafting appellate briefs. In addition, throughout law school he served as a Law Clerk in the Office of General Counsel at Overseas Military Sales Corporation for two years; he also interned with NASDAQ-OMX, where he worked on software licensing transactions and data privacy.

Mr. Damiano graduated from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2015. He served as a Notes and Comments Editor for The American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel Law Journal, and was awarded a distinction in Business Law Honors and made the Dean’s List. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History with a minor in Economics from The Ohio State University in 2011 where he was a scholarship recipient and on the Dean’s List.

He co-authored Now What Did Facebook Do to the Internet? The Invalidation of the US Safe Harbor Agreement in the European Law Reporter, Vol. N°1 (2016).

Before Mr. Damiano attended law school, he was a professional actor and remains an active member of SAG-AFTRA. His most noteworthy roles include “Young Tony Soprano” in HBO’s The Sopranos; “Daniel Lowry” in the 1994 remake of Miracle of 34th Street, and appearances in sketches for Saturday Night Live and The Conan O’Brien Show.

He is admitted to practice in the states of New York and New Jersey.
