Barry Cohen, Environmental Law Partner, will discuss environmental issues - contaminated property transactions.   Brian Bloom, Partner in our Litigation Practice Group, will participate in the mentor program at the SXSW 2012 Music Conference Mentor Program in Austin Texas. The SXSW conference, coming up on its 26th year, has grown to become the premiere event of its kind in North America. Each year, over 7000 registrants, including representatives of most every important press organization, and over 1500 musical acts take over the city for six nights of music and four days of panel discussions, forums, workshops, and all manner of other meetings.

Conference registrants will have the opportunity to meet with Brian for a 60 minute session in which conference registrants will sign up for 10 one-minute one-on-one sessions in order to obtain advice on the business of music.

  Brian Bloom, of our Litigation Department, is scheduled to speak at the Hofstra University School of Law Piracy Symposium. The Sports & Entertainment Law Society, International Law Society and Intellectual Property Law Society will hold this event on April 20, 2012. Brian will speak about bootleg injunctions and seizure orders in the context of music/tour merchandise. He has successfully represented the two largest merchandisers, Live Nation Merchandise and Bravado International Group (among others) in bootleg injunction work related to Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, R. Kelly and Chris Brown, among others.
