MICHELLE L. CONTINO Associate
Michelle L. Contino is an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group at Certilman Balin, where she represents clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including contracts and closings for new construction projects and re-sales for single and multi-family homes, condominiums and co-ops, as well as land use transactions.
Prior to joining Certilman Balin, Ms. Contino was a financial analyst in the Financial Planning & Analytics department of Draftfcb Worldwide, a leading global advertising agency and subsidiary of the Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG). Ms. Contino analyzed revenue variances among budgets, updates and actual data for global clients who generated revenue streams averaging between twenty and eighty million dollars annually across the agency's global network. Ms. Contino prepared revenue and expense analyses utilized by corporate management and identified areas requiring attention in actual activity and budget updates. Additionally, she worked with regional teams across the globe to consolidate and analyze revenue and corresponding expense data originating from organic growth and new business wins, as well as the impact of client losses.
Active in her community, Ms. Contino is a mentor in the Lawyer's Involved in Kid's Education (LIKE) program, which is affiliated with the Long Island Mentoring Partnership, and mentors at risk middle school students through the Nassau County Bar Association mentoring program. In Addition, Ms. Contino is a committee member for the American Heart Association's annual Go Red for Women Luncheon.
Ms. Contino earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in both Finance and Business Administration (with a dual concentration in Marketing and Management) from the John F. Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University in 2004. Ms. Contino earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Hofstra University School of Law in 2011, where she served as Associate Editor of the Hofstra Law Review and was an active member of the Italian Law Students Association.
