CB Jennifer Bentley

Jennifer A. Bentley is Of Counsel to our Labor and Employment Law Group.  She serves as labor counsel for various employee organizations in the public sector, including the Uniformed Firefighters Association of Greater New York, Local 94, as well as County, Town and Village-level police unions within Nassau and Suffolk.

Her practice is focused exclusively in the representation of public sector union clients in collective bargaining/contract negotiation, binding interest arbitration, administrative proceedings including grievance arbitrations and improper practice proceedings, labor litigation and legislation.

Ms. Bentley earned her Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and her Juris Doctor from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. She served as an Associate Ed­itor of the Touro Law Review and was honored with the National Award for Excellence in the study of Labor and Employment Law.  She also received academic honors (CALI Awards) in Legal Methods, as well as multiple awards for her service to the Touro Writing Skills Center.

Ms. Bentley proudly served 10 years as the Board chair of the Long Island Advocacy Center (“LIAC”), a private not-for-profit agency which strives to protect the legal rights of students and individuals with disabilities. She also supports and volunteers her time with the Town of Hempstead’s Camp A.N.C.H.O.R. recreational summer program, dedicated to children and adults with special needs.

Long Island Business News named Ms. Bentley to its list of “Who’s Who in Labor Law,” and in 2022 she recognized with a Leadership in Law Award.

She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Judicial Circuit.
